May 2020: Emergency 21 Bed Critical Care Unit Complete at Ely Hospital, Wexford

We’re proud to have this week delivered a fast track 21 bed Critical Care Unit to the HSE at Ely Hospital, Wexford. Over only a 5 week period, TOBC carried out Emergency Works over two floors to completely transform an unused area in the hospital into a modern 21 Bed Critical Care Ward to help in the fight against Covid-19. We’d like to thank the HSE’s Capital Projects Team and the Design Team led by RKD Architects in Waterford for their dedicated and effective leadership throughout this challenging fast-track project. All precautions were taken with construction staff on site, and our thanks must also go to our team of trusted subcontractors and TOBC Site Management who managed to carry out this rapid-build project in the most professional and safest of manners. Most of all, our thanks to the Ely Hospital staff and Healthcare Workers for their fantastic efforts during these times. TOBC are proud to have done our small bit to help.
