Dec 2020: Fast Track Extension at Wexford General Underway

TOBC were asked by the HSE to carry out a fast track extension to the Emergency Department and Ward Blocks at Wexford General Hospital. This is a hospital TOBC know well having carried out many large projects over the years including St Brigid’s Ward Extension and most recently the Decant Unit Extension. This substantial extension project will provide for extensions to the emergency department and waiting areas to the front of the hospital along with the provision of additional treatment rooms, bed space and ward areas to the rear of the hospital along with all associated external works including the provision of new roadways and footpaths. This project also required TOBC to construct substantial retaining walls about the rear of the site due to the Hospital’s positioning on a severely sloped site. Works are progressing well on this fast track Emergency Department and Ward Block extension and we must give our thanks to Wejchert Architects and all of the Design Team for their collaboration on this project so far.
