Official Opening of Thomastown Library

Tom O’Brien Construction, represented on the day by Foreman Martin Hourigan, were delighted to attend the recent official opening of the new Thomastown Library, formally opened by Minister Dara Calleary, following its successful opening to the public earlier this year.

It has been a privilege for Tom O’Brien Construction to deliver this outstanding new community facility on behalf of Kilkenny County Council.

The new c. €4.6 million development provides a modern, welcoming and accessible space that will serve the people of Thomastown and the surrounding communities for generations to come.

We would like to thank Kilkenny County Council, the Library Service team, the design team, our supply chain partners and all those who contributed to making this project a success.

We wish the library staff every success in their new home and hope this wonderful facility continues to provide value to the community for many years to come.
