July 2017: Angiograph Suite Complete at UHW!
A number of people have asked us “what are we up to in the x-ray ward at University Hospital Waterford?” All they see is our signage and hoarding, so let us give you an update and a sneak peek in to the superb new Angiograph Suite.
The refurbishment of the Angiograph Unit, situated within the Radiology Department, involved significant demolitions and re-modelling over every one of the four floors in the Hospital. Works involved the complete re-configuration of all recovery room areas and major enabling works were carried out on the roof and in the basement for the new Angiograph suite.
The upgraded recovery room areas, corridors, waiting areas, changing cubicles and the new sluice rooms on the ground floor were handed back to the client in time for Siemens to begin installing their new diagnostic equipment in the new Angiograph Unit. All works were carefully coordinated and carried out with the minimum of fuss or interference for the client and the general public.
The successful completion of this project further enhances our strong reputation in the healthcare field, having carried out a vast array of high quality healthcare projects across Munster and Leinster for over 40 years. We really do know University Hospital Waterford from top to bottom at this stage!
Well done to Contracts Manager Mr. Pat Roche, Foreman Martin Hourigan and their team in delivering a fantastic project to the client.
