Major Conservation Project to commence at Landmark Waterford City Buildings
Tom O’Brien Construction have been appointed by Waterford City & County Council to carry out a Major Restoration and Conservation Works Contract on the Mall in Waterford City to the Historic and Landmark c. 1740’s City Hall / Theatre Royal Buildings & to the Bishops Palace.
Works will commence in earnest in early 2025.
As members of the Prestigious Register of Heritage Contractors of Ireland, our teams’ in-house master craftsmen, supplemented by our skilled subcontractors will carry out a series of careful Remedial works to both of these Protected buildings including:
– Lime Plastering Works
– Stone Repointing Works
– Natural Slate Roof Replacements
– Window Replacements
– Internal Refurbishment Works
– General Building Upgrade Works
We look forward to working with Waterford City & County Council and to commencing works in the New Year, returning to these landmark buildings, having previously carried out a similar Major Restoration of the Bishop’s Palace, back in the late 1970’s under the company’s then stewardship of Tom O’Brien Snr.
