New Project Commencement – Clonroche NS Co. Wexford
Tom O’Brien Construction are delighted to have been appointed as Main Contractors to oversee a Deep Retrofit Energy Upgrade and Refurbishment of Clonroche National School in Co. Wexford.
This project is being delivered to our Clients in the Department of Education & Youth under their – “Climate Action REPower EU Schools Energy Retrofit Pathfinder Programme 2026.”
Works will take place over the upcoming 2026 summer holiday period, with the retrofitted facility delivered back to the school before the start of the new term in September.
This project at Clonroche NS will be the Seventh (7th) Summer-Works School Project to be delivered by Tom O’Brien Construction over this summer holiday period of 2026.
Clonroche NS will be carried out in addition to the Major Design & Build (D&B) Package of Six (6) No. Summer-Works School Upgrades being delivered across Co. Wexford, previously awarded to TOBC earlier in 2026, by our joint-clients in the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI), Waterford & Wexford Education & Training Board (WWETB) and the Department of Education & Youth (DOEY).
Tom O’Brien Construction have already delivered a number of these Summer-Works School Upgrade Projects over the last number of years to the DOEY, and as always, we look forward to working with the Design Teams to deliver these works.
