Project Handover – Energy Upgrade Works Complete at St Aidan’s NS Clonroche Co. Wexford

We are pleased to confirm the successful completion of another 2026 School Summer Works Energy Upgrade & Deep Retrofit, this time at St Aidan’s NS in Clonroche, Co. Wexford.

Delivered as part of the Department of Education & Youth’s REPowerEU Pathfinder Programme, the project was successfully delivered during the summer school closure period, with works carefully planned and coordinated to ensure the school was ready to welcome students and staff back last week for the new academic year.

The retrofit works at St Aidan’s in Clonroche form part of the Department’s wider programme to improve the energy efficiency, sustainability and performance of Ireland’s school buildings, helping to create more comfortable and efficient learning environments for pupils and staff.

St Aidan’s NS in Clonroche was the seventh (7th) school upgrade Tom O’Brien Construction successfully carried out and delivered over this 2026 summer period – Alongside the separate Design & Build bundle of six (6) separate Post-Primary School Upgrades across Co. Wexford, that TOBC were tasked with retrofitting over this same summer period of 2026 for the Department of Education & Youth.

We would like to thank everyone involved for their commitment and cooperation throughout the project, including the Design and Technical Advisory Teams.
