This project was a large scale €11 million expansion of an existing laboratory facility completed over 3 separate phases.
Phase 1 consisted of the construction of a new car park involving bulk earthworks, drainage & ducting works, kerbing, new roadways and footpaths and boundary fencing works.
Phase 2 involved the construction and fit-out of a new three storey extension to the existing laboratory building incorporating 3 new stairs and 2 passenger lifts along with new labs, circulation areas, administration areas, staff welfare facilities and plantrooms, complete with all ancillary siteworks including retaining walls, car parking spaces and street furniture.
Phase 3 involved the installation of a further much larger carpark including roadways and footpaths intended for all the new staff required for Eurofins anticipated increased capacity.
This project proves Tom O’Brien Construction’s ability to deliver complex facilities to PHARMA quality clients in a timely, cost effective and safe manner. We would like to thank Eurofins for placing their trust in us and allowing us to demonstrate to them and their partners that large-scale construction projects can be comfortably handled by experienced medium sized contractors. Clients shouldn’t feel that a large project means competition is narrowed to the largest national building companies, the right contractor isn’t necessarily the biggest contractor.
