TOBC were approached by the HSE to carry out fast track emergency works at Ely Hospital Co. Wexford over the initial Government Covid-19 Shutdown period in March 2020.
The works involved the complete strip out of the 2nd and 3rd floors of this live and occupied hospital including all existing mechanical and electrical services back to shell and core. Once complete, Tom O’Brien Construction were instructed to deliver a complete fully functioning ICU ward over the two floors.
TOBC delivered a completed 21-bed ICU ward including all associated services in only 5 weeks.

Thanks for this project must go to our staff and our sub-contractors who took on board the urgency of the situation and working under strict Covid 19 restrictions managed to speedily deliver this potentially life-saving facility.
