TOBC were appointed by the HSE to oversee the emergency demolitions and subsequent refurbishment works to Wexford General Hospital following a devastating fire that broke out in March 2023 and ravaged much of the Hospital. The entire Hospital was evacuated in what was the largest evacuation in the history of the Irish Health Service.

Works are now nearing completion with many of the Hospital’s key wards including Maternity, Paediatrics and the Emergency Department have now been fully refurbished and successfully returned to the Hospital.

This has been a great collaborative effort so far with the HSE, Hospital Management & Staff and Design Team.
