TOBC were appointed by the HSE to oversee the emergency demolitions and subsequent refurbishment works to Wexford General Hospital following a devastating fire that broke out in March 2023 and ravaged much of the Hospital.

Much of the demolitions have now been completed and we are pleased to have got to the reinstatement phase of the works so quickly.

The full extent of required repair works are still being reviewed but refurbishment works are now proceeding where they can. Many of the Hospital’s key wards including Maternity, Paediatrics and the Emergency Department have now been fully refurbished and successfully returned to the Hospital.

This has been a great collaborative effort so far with the HSE, Hospital Management & Staff and Design Team.
