Glenville National School

Location:Glenville, Cork
Client:Department of Education
Architect:MRG

This project involved the construction of a highly impressive new primary school build in Glenville Co. Cork,

Works were carried out in four separate phases and consisted of the construction of a new eight classroom, two storey Primary School and GP Hall of circa 1,700m2. Site works included the demolition of the existing school upon completion of the new school, hard courts, junior play areas, car parking and all associated  site development works such as road network, boundary treatment and landscaping.

This primary school development was completed 10 weeks ahead of programme and handed back to the Board of Management well in advance of the new school year.

Testimonial – “The project was finished to an extremely high standard ten weeks ahead of schedule. The construction took place on a site that was shared with the existing working school. This was done in a safe, practical manner, with minimal interference with the operation of the occupied school. Full cognisance was taken of the needs and safety of pupils and staff, and Tom O’Brien Construction were extremely cooperative with any requirements of the school. The Board found Tom O’Brien Construction to be efficient, competent and easy to work with, and were extremely pleased with the workmanship, competence and conduct of the company and its employees. I would recommend Tom O’Brien Construction very highly.” – Michael O’Donnell, Principal, Glenville National School.
