This major capital project at Wexford General Hospital commenced in January 2025 and was delivered to the Hospital in early 2026.
This project involved the construction of a new concrete frame multi-storey Car Park, providing for circa 400 no. car parking spaces over seven split levels and four stories storeys high.
The new 11,624 m2 multi-storey car park featured in a major civil and groundworks programme at WGH delivered by Tom O’Brien Construction, which included the realignment of the main entrance road and enabling works for the new multi-storey Somerton Wing (97 bed ward) development at WGH, along with installation of new services, diversion of existing services, the construction of a new substation along with the provision of a single-storey steel frame waste compound.
The multi storey car park will replace the main car park that has been on the Newtown Rd. side of the hospital.
