This project involved the delivery of an outstanding new state-of-the-art community facility on behalf of Kilkenny County Council.

Formally opened by Minister Dara Calleary, the new c. €4.6 million development provides a modern, welcoming and accessible space that will serve the people of Thomastown and the surrounding communities for generations to come.

This facility, previously home to the Thomastown sports hall, has been transformed into a major public asset with more than 700 square metres of community library space available over two floors.

The new development reflects a 21st Century library with comfortable seating and browsing areas, along with dedicated community exhibition space for programming and events throughout the year.
