Sept 2022: Phase 1 Blackwater College Lismore Complete

Tom O’Brien Construction are very happy to report the completion of the 1st phase of our school building program at Blackwater Community School in Lismore, Co. Waterford.
This 1st phase which comprises of the provision of an impressive new 28 classroom two storey secondary school building, a full size GAA pitch, two no. all weather pitches, the complete refurbishment of a sports hall, a new fitness suite along with substantial external works including a new car parking facility and all ancillary areas has now been taken in charge by the client ready for the new school term.
We wish the School Principal, his staff and pupils all the best with their new facility.
This month sees us now continue on site with the 2nd phase of this project, which includes the provision of another new build element along with the total refurbishment of the existing school buildings over the coming months. We would like to extend our thanks to all of our subcontractors for their work on the project so far, and to Butler Moffat Architects and the design team on reaching this first major milestone.
