Summer Works Deep Retrofit Project Complete at SETU Carlow

It was great to visit the Burrin Building again this week in South East Technological University Carlow at the end of the Defects period, where this time last year we handed this building back over to the College following a streamlined Deep Retrofit & Energy Upgrade project over the summer months of 2024.

Commencing on site in late June and over the College’s summer shutdown period, TOBC coordinated the following works before the return of the staff & student bodies in September 2024:
✅ Major Demolitions & Structural Upgrades
✅ Complete Roof Removal & Upgrade
✅ Construction of new Plant Rooms
✅ Complete Mechanical & Electrical Upgrades
✅ Glazing Works
✅ Internal & External Refurbishment Works

It’s great to see the building still looking so well 1 year on, following the completion of our works last summer.

Our thanks to our Client SETU Carlow, and to the Design Team for their collaboration on this rapid turnaround Deep Retrofit project, helping to ensure all works were delivered on programme as scheduled, as well as all of our suppliers and subcontractors involved.
