TOBC appointed Main Contractors to New Multi-Storey MRI Facility at Wexford General Hospital

Tom O’Brien Construction have recently been appointed as Main Contractors by the HSE to carry out the construction of a substantial new state-of-the-art 2-storey over basement MRI Facility at Wexford General Hospital.

Some preliminary works will commence this side of Christmas with construction due to commence in earnest in early 2025, and project completion scheduled for 2026.

We are happy to further consolidate our long term continuing relationship with the HSE by providing another impressive facility, following a spate of other high-profile healthcare projects recently delivered across the Southeast, including;
– the 2nd Cardiac Cath Lab at University Hospital Waterford and,
– the Irish Construction Industry 2024 Award-Winning Complete Restoration of Wexford General Hospital, following a devastating fire outbreak in 2023.

We look forward to commencing works on this New MRI facility alongside the following Design Team members; RKD Architects, Varming Consulting Engineers, John Britton Consulting Engineers and Atkins Realis Cost Consultants.
