April 2023: TOBC appointed to Major Repair Works at Wexford General Hospital after Fire Outbreak

TOBC were recently appointed by the HSE to oversee the Emergency Demolitions and Removal of fire debris and the subsequent Refurbishment Works to the Hospital after last month’s fire outbreak. Much of the demolitions have now been completed by the TOBC team and our subcontractors, and we are pleased to have got to the Reinstatement Phase of the works so quickly.

The full extent of required repair works on the smoke and water damaged floors are still being reviewed but refurbishment works are now proceeding where they can. It is great to see new roof trusses being placed already, having been fast-tracked through the design and production period by our suppliers. This has been a great collaborative effort so far with the Client and Design Team of Wejchert Architects, Malone O’Regan Consulting Engineers and Faithful & Gould.
